Who I Am
My name is Eric Bielakiewicz.
I'm a cinematographer, lighting technician, colorist, director, and writer.
What I Do
I've worked on numerous projects big and small; whether they be promos, short films, local televised events, or weddings.
My skills are heavily rooted in the visual side of filmmaking, consisting of pre-visual lighting work or shot sheets, camera operation/lighting/gripping/ACing on film sets, or post-production color manipulation and/or editing.
I have experience in run&gun scenarios, especially with promotional videos for local businesses or wedding videography. In addition, I also have experience in any role from production assistant to director on various short films.
I gravitate a lot towards work in production, post-production, documentary, or commercial work. Any work that is visual, hands-on experience with gear or software is exciting to me!
Finally, I'm also a freelance landscape photographer, and have also done portraits and headshots in the past.
Why I Do It
My ability to tell stories and create visual art carries over from some of my earliest childhood memories right up to adulthood at film school.
Through numerous projects, I've continued to hone and learn new skills and build a network, while also exploring the fascinating world of filmmaking.
With each new video, each new project, each new client, I constantly experiment with different styles of editing, camerawork, directing, and writing while maintaining a sense of professionalism through to the project's completion.
While I may master certain elements of filmmaking someday, I hope to never stop finding new and exciting ways to make films and continue to grow in my craft.
